What is EFT
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique and it is an evidence-based technique mind-body method that can help reduce stress, anxiety, depression, pain, PTSD and other emotional distress. It uses elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Talk Therapy and combines them with somatic tapping, using the finger tips, on the Primo Vascular Points (also referred to as acupressure or meridian points).
How Does EFT Work?
The mechanisms behind EFT include deactivation of the amygdala (stress centre in the brain) and hippocampus (memory centre), as well as recent research into vagal nerve improvement. Ultimately the research to date points to regulation of the autonomic nervous system.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no lock-in number of sessions, every situation is unique and we go at your pace. However, I invite you to attend a minimum of 3 - 4 sessions to gain a true insight into how transformative this service is.
